Halfway through their engagement session, Jess and Chad changed the theme entirely to Charlie Chaplin. Makeup, costume, props, everything. Check it out – it was so fun to shoot. I found myself lol’ing a few times while processing them – they nailed this so well!
They’re getting married in just a few short weeks at Ragged Point…sweet!
Part engagement session, part trash the dress. Liz, Kyle, and I met up a few weeks ago for this session and it was crazy fun. It was a chilly evening, and they were wading around in 54-degree ocean water in a wedding dress and shirt/khakis. Total troopers – they were willing to do anything for the sake of good photos. My kind of people!

Barbara and Adam were married a few weeks ago at Paradise Ridge Winery, a breathtaking winery in the foothills outside of Santa Rosa. They did a first look, and it was SO touching. Barbara’s facial expression seeing Adam for the first time (shown below) speaks volumes.
Their dance floor was crazy and packed all night long. Soon after their wedding, the two of them moved to New York, and the last song at their reception was “New York” by Jay-Z (here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVXS54VQMT0). Everyone was going nuts. It was so fun to photograph.
I love all of my couples. Honestly. I was looking through my weddings from the past year yesterday, and couldn’t help but realize how much I was smiling going through them. I’m so happy for Barbara and Adam, and their love for each other was so heartwarming on their wedding day. Enjoy New York you two.

A few months ago, a bunch of us San Luis Obispo wedding vendors got together and did an inspiration shoot. It was basically an opportunity for us to go crazy with ideas we’d stored up, and the vendors involved delivered big time. It all came together so well. Kellie and Chris spent their entire engagement session in Montana De Oro, which is where Chris proposed to Kellie. It’s one of their favorite locations on the central coast, which is understandable – it’s a crazy gorgeous area.
Kellie and Chris smile and laugh a lot. I like that. A lot.
I’m really excited to see them again at their wedding – it’s going to be a joyful, amazing day.
