Bryan’s my brother in law! Jen’s my future sister in law! That’s awesome, guys. We spent an afternoon in Montana de Oro with their dog Zoe, rolling around in their sweet Dolphin motor home. Super happy for these two.
If you know me, you know cycling is one of my biggest hobbies. So here I am, sitting at my computer one day, and I get an inquiry from Kate and Andrew. Kate mentions Andrew is a professional cyclist training in Spain, and we set up a Skype meeting. I didn’t have Andrew’s last name at that point, but a suspicion and some quick Googling made me realize this was Andrew Talansky, one of the most talented and promising road cyclists in the world. He rides for Garmin-Sharp, finished 10th in the Tour de France this year, and is doing nothing but getting faster.
So I fought a bit of star-struck-ness as I Skyped with them from Spain, and got to know Kate and Andrew. Their wedding was at Squirrel Creek Ranch up in Grass Valley, a quaint town on the way to Tahoe. There’s no way to call it less than phenomenal, really. It was a stunning wedding put together by Kate, Andrew, their friends and family, and their fabulous coordinator Chelsea of B-Events. Squirrel Creek Ranch is a pretty magical place, and I’m so glad I got to be a part of this!
Emily and Grant were married at the Valhalla Grand Hall in South Lake Tahoe last August. The beauty of this place is phenomenal – the textures of the rocks on the seashore, the glasslike mountain waters under a pastel blue and pink sky, the thunderclouds over peaks on the opposite shore. It was a relaxed warm day that became a still, warm night. It was refreshing to be in the midst of such beauty, and this wedding was a pleasure to experience.
And check out that awesome pink dress!!
