Part engagement session, part trash the dress. Liz, Kyle, and I met up a few weeks ago for this session and it was crazy fun. It was a chilly evening, and they were wading around in 54-degree ocean water in a wedding dress and shirt/khakis. Total troopers – they were willing to do anything for the sake of good photos. My kind of people!
Barbara and Adam were married a few weeks ago at Paradise Ridge Winery, a breathtaking winery in the foothills outside of Santa Rosa. They did a first look, and it was SO touching. Barbara’s facial expression seeing Adam for the first time (shown below) speaks volumes.
Their dance floor was crazy and packed all night long. Soon after their wedding, the two of them moved to New York, and the last song at their reception was “New York” by Jay-Z (here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVXS54VQMT0). Everyone was going nuts. It was so fun to photograph.
I love all of my couples. Honestly. I was looking through my weddings from the past year yesterday, and couldn’t help but realize how much I was smiling going through them. I’m so happy for Barbara and Adam, and their love for each other was so heartwarming on their wedding day. Enjoy New York you two.
A few months ago, a bunch of us San Luis Obispo wedding vendors got together and did an inspiration shoot.
