Allison and Rich’s engagement session happened in San Francisco a mere week before their wedding. We started the evening with a drink at Liverpool Lil’s near the Presidio, and then visited the Presidio for photos. They brought their dog, who had a blast at the beach. He gave us a little scare when he disappeared under a wave for a bit – yikes. He was fine though.
The engagement session was pretty fun, and the wedding was even funner. Funner is a word, right? Watch for their wedding photos.
Jess and Chad had an AMAZING wedding at Ragged Point. It was a perfect day in Big Sur – perfect weather, tons of visibility, and an incredible location sitting on the cliffs above the ocean. Throughout the day, I got the sense that Jess and Chad were overwhelmed by the goodness surrounding them – the amazing location, their loving family and friends, and how fun their crazy reception was. And with good reason – they have a lot to be thankful for.
Following their engagement session’s theme, they had a lot of old-world entertainment elements woven into their reception, from their decorations to the Groucho Marx glasses they gave every one of their guests.
It was a really, really fun and refreshing wedding to be a part of.
Just before the wedding started, Chad took off his suit’s shoes and put on his trusty, and much more comfortable, bowling shoes.
Oh, and their last song was “So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish”. If you’ve read or seen Hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy, you’ll probably appreciate that just as much as I do.

Their anniversary gift to each other was a photo session to document a new chapter in their lives: Santa Barbara. It was super fun to catch up with them and hear about the past year of their married lives, and to wander around Santa Barbara a bit.
