These two bring me so much joy and fulfillment it’s crazy. Parenting is tough – don’t get me wrong. So is marriage. But like marriage, with the increased responsibility and connection to another human being comes a huge increase in fulfillment.
Things sure have changed for me. I used to love going out of town, having lots of freedom, etc. But now, after about 6 hours of my wife and kids not being around, I’m missing them. Life feels kinda dull. Even when there’s more to do, more excitement to take part in, if my family isn’t around there’s just something significant missing.
Cameron is three now, and Lillian just turned one. Courtney and I love being their parents. I hope they always understand how deep our love for them is.
