Danielle and Anthony, Nipomo CA

Danielle, Anthony, and I went all over Nipomo on this shoot. Danielle's a photographer too, and I had the privelege of having her second shoot Melissa and John's wedding with me back in June.

Nicole and Jesse's Wedding, Nipomo CA

Nicole and Jesse got married at the Kaleidoscope Inn in Nipomo, CA. They both have a real way of making a person feel important and welcome - I've thought many times while hanging out with them, "This couple's going to do well in life." :)

It rained a little in between the wedding and reception (rain in August on the Central Coast - whaaaaaat?!) but nobody seemed to mind, and it cleared up right as the reception was getting under way.

Bridesmaid Dresses

I LOVE this concept - buying a different dress for each bridesmaid. Each of the dresses look awesome on them, and could totally be worn for a different dress-up event. The bride hand-picked the dresses for each of the bridesmaids. I don't think it detracts from the bridesmaids looking special / separate at all.

Jenna and Robert, San Luis Obispo, CA

Jenna and Robert came up from Ventura for a shoot this past weekend, and were so much fun! They'd never been to San Luis Obispo, so it was kind of fun to give them the SLO run-down. ;) They had dinner at Buona Tavola afterwards, which was where Courtney and I had our first date - it's one of our favorite restaurants.

Thanks for coming up Jenna and Robert! Great meeting you two! :)

New Castle, Colorado

Here are a few frames from our recent Colorado vacation. I'll post a few more later, but I just had to get a few photos of my amazing wife and super awesome son up. ;)

I wish I could have flown a few of my wedding couples out, because we were staying on the most incredible ranch EVER. Fields of tall grass, a brook, a bridge, wooden fences, pine trees, blue skies, incredible light...

By the way, having kids is most most wickedly awesome thing ever. This kid has brought me more joy than I can explain. :) Looks like he might need a haircut though...got a little Alfalfa going on there...

Brooke and Raf's Wedding, San Luis Obispo CA

Brooke and Raf had a SUPER fun, laid-back, home-grown SLO wedding a few weeks ago at the Flying Caballos Ranch in San Luis Obispo. Still Time played their music, you can check them out HERE. There aren't too many local bands that I'll hear and still listen to weeks later, but Still Time is one of them. AWESOME band, perfect for a wedding. :)

Enough about Still Time - Brooke and Raf planned an incredible wedding. From the cupcake table that their guests all participated in creating, to the soaps they made for their guests, to the unique and vintage thrift-store dinner plates, to the empty Patron bottles for vases - this wedding was as unique as they come.

Funny thing...right in the middle of Still Time covering Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'", SLO's baseball team finished a game and fireworks lit up the sky behind the band. Journey + fireworks? Are you kidding me? ;) Everyone went nuts, as you might imagine.

April Peet did Brooke's flowers - I highly recommend her. She's knocked the ball out of the park with every arrangement I've seen from her: April Flowers

On Vacation.

I'll be on vacation from tomorrow through early next week, and might have limited access to email. We'll be in the Colorado boonies and I'm not sure about email access. :) If it takes me a few days to get back to your email, you know why.
