Charleston, South Carolina is gorgeous. I spent around three days there, shooting Bethel and Magnus’s engagement and wedding. I did a lot of walking around in-between and was blown away by the depth of history and gorgeous architecture in the town.
Bethel and Magnus were married at Middleton Place, a massive plantation built in the 1700′s. Their reception was at Zero George, a quaint bed and breakfast in the French Quarter of Charleston. From the large building facades to little nook and cranny alleyways, there isn’t an inch of that town that’s not oozing with history and character.
Since Bethel and Magnus are from Wisconsin and Norway respectively, lots of people were traveling for their wedding no matter where they had it. It made sense to really stack the deck then, and pick a place with history, scenery, tons of character, and perfect weather in late March. This was it, and it was phenomenal.
