Jodi and Glenn’s Maui Wedding

Glenn and Jodi (or Glodi as they have come to be called) rocked Maui like Maui’s never been rocked before.

For three days straight.

I got to be a part of their wedding for what was surely one of the funnest weekends of my life. It started with a BBQ at their condo on Thursday evening, then their rehearsal dinner at the amazing 808 bistro, then a Molokini lookout wedding and dance-party-to-end-all-dance-parties at Gannon’s restaurant afterwards.

Epic is really the best word to describe it. And if you’re wondering why there are photos of speedo-clad men on my website right now, Glenn was a member of the Stanford NCAA championship team in the year 2000, as were many of his groomsmen and friends. They started the wedding day off with an open-ocean swim in front of the Grand Wailea resort.

This was SO FUN to be a part of!

Marianne and Joe’s Limoneira Ranch Wedding

I got to be a part of Marianne and Joe’s wedding story from the beginning. I was there for the proposal and ensuing engagement session, and I’m so glad that I got to be there for the wedding. These two were amazing to shoot and spend time with, and I’m happy to call them friends. Marianne and Joe are wedding photographers in southern California, and had of the most unique weddings I’ve been to. Joe brewed AMAZING beer for the reception and their flower girls spread hops down the aisle, among many other very original ideas.

Really, it was the most amazing day. But the things I want to say about these two have more to do with their characters and how fun they are to be around. I’m stoked that these two amazing individuals found each other and got totally married, and I’m excited for the next time I get to hang out with them.

Danielle and Phil’s Wedding

1) Get ready.
2) Get married.
3) Eat dinner.
4) Dance all night.

That was the plan, and not much else.

This was an incredible wedding to be a part of – Danielle and Phil planned their wedding in under three months, and the simplicity was perfect. There were no reception events to plan – just a phenomenal meal to eat, pies to demolish, and a dance floor to spend the entire evening on. There were no seating arrangements, no planned speeches, and they figured out the ceremony music 15 minute before walking down the aisle. Danielle did her own hair and found her dress for around $100 on Etsy. Phil wore the same Clarks shoes he’s worn for ages. Family and friends pitched in and helped in every way imaginable, and it was a crazy fun day from start to finish.
